Menu for 7-days Elimination Diet

Suggested 7-day menu



Day 1
Breakfast:Whole grain cereal (choice of brown rice, buckwheat or quinoa flakes) accompanied by almond or rice milk and topped with walnuts or any other preferred nuts and seeds and fresh fruit.
Lunch: Main: Soup accompanied by rice cakes or sesame crackers, celery and carrots sticks.
Dessert: fresh fruit.
Dinner:Main: Salmon accompanied by millet or sweet potato and roast vegetables, mixed salad with vinaigrette dressing.
Dessert: fresh fruit.

Day 2
Breakfast:Fresh fruit smoothie (with extra added fibre if needed) accompanied by banana bread or muffin.
Lunch:Main: Soup with cabbage salad and rice cakes with walnut butter (or other preferred type).
Dessert: fresh fruit.
DinnerMain: Lamb chop with rice and vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, for example) accompanied by a spinach salad.
Dessert: fresh fruit

Day 3
Breakfast:Breakfast cereal (puffed millet or puffed rice) accompanied by almond milk and topped with fresh fruit. Banana bread or muffin, if any leftover from previous day.
Lunch:Main: Rice and black beans, topped with flax oil and guacamole.
Dessert: baking powder biscuits and fresh fruit sliced and topped with crushed nuts.
Dinner:Main: Halibut with acorn or butternut squash accompanied by courgettes and onions fried in olive oil and salad with vinaigrette dressing.
Dessert: Rice squares and fresh fruit.

Day 4
Breakfast:Half melon and berries, sprinkled with cinnamon
Lunch:Main: Halibut salad, with preferred mixed greens and vinaigrette dressing.
Dessert: fresh fruit or rice squares.
Dinner:Main: Chicken and rice, dressed with sesame or flax oil and asparagus.
Dessert: gingerbread

Day 5
Breakfast:Rice waffles and sauté apples
Lunch:Main: Soup with roasted vegetables
Dessert: fresh fruit
Dinner:Main: Tuna with mixed green salad with vinaigrette dressing
Dessert: fresh fruit.

Day 6
Breakfast:Rice pudding (made with almond or rice milk) with berries and nuts
Lunch:Main: Soup accompanied by leftover tuna salad with hummus.
Dessert: baking powder biscuits and fresh fruit.

Dinner:Main: Roast turkey with rice and steamed vegetables
Dessert: baked apple pie.


Day 7
Breakfast:Toasted bread (rice or gluten-free bread) with pear butter and sauté apples, followed by fresh fruit.
Lunch:Main: Turkey salad, with mixed greens, apple and hummus.
Dessert: rice crackers and fresh fruit.
Dinner:Main: Black beans and rice with pickled beets, accompanied by mixed greens salad with vinaigrette dressing.
Dessert: leftover rice pudding with raisins.
