Cooking Steps

Grill or fry the sausages and bacon until they colour. Remove and cut into chunks.
Layer a medium-sized casserole dish with the onion, potatoes or sweet potatoes and meat, continuing until all ingredients are used up.
Pour over the stock and put the lid on the casserole dish. Bake at 375 for two hours.
  • 2 pork sausages
  • 6 rashers of smoky bacon
  • 1/2 large, white onion, finely sliced
  • 6 golden potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks (or sub sweet potatoes, if white potatoes are not part of your paleo)
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • optional at the last 15 minutes of cooking add quartered up1/2 a cabbage
