Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa rubiginosa) is a rich, amber colored carrier oil that is from the ripened fruit of the Rosehip or Rosa Mosqueta. This amazing oil is very high in essential fatty acids and is well-known as a great ingredient to help protect dry and dehydrated skin. It works great when used on scars, wrinkles and prematurely aged skin. I love using this in my beauty recipes. I also added in some Calendula infused grapeseed oil which is an excellent oil for dry and damaged skin. I used certified organic Calendula flowers and infused them into grapeseed oil. Click HERE for instructions on how to make your own Calendula infused oil. If you don't want to make it yourself, you can always purchase from Mountain Rose Herbs.
I chose carrot seed essential oil and wild chamomile essential oil for this recipe. Carrot seed essential oils is often blended into skin care recipes meant for dry, mature and wrinkled skin. It is really a great essential oil and I am in love with the delicious scent. Finishing off this recipe is some vitamin E oil which adds a power punch to this effective beauty serum.
