Garlic Ketchup (makes about 2 cups)
  • 6 dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh oregano leaves, very finely chopped
  1. Blend the water and dates together.
  2. Pour into a small saucepan, add the other ingredients and gently heat until the mixture is simmering. Whisking occasionally.
  3. Remove from the heat, let cool and store in the fridge for up to a week.
